🔒 The short version: Atlas stores your academic data on our servers to sync across sessions. We never sell your data, never share it with third parties, and we don't use it for advertising. Ever.
1. Who We Are
Atlas is developed and operated by Peck Apps, an independent iOS development studio. You can reach us at support@peckapps.com.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use Atlas, we collect the following:
- Account information: Username and a securely hashed password.
- Academic data: Assignments, courses, study hours, and grade information you enter.
- Notification preferences: Your settings for push notification timing and types.
- Push notification token: A device token from Apple used only to send you notifications.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or camera access.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the Atlas experience: syncing assignments, calculating danger scores and workload forecasts, and sending push notifications you have configured.
We do not use your data for advertising, third-party analytics, or machine learning training.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Render. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data transmission uses HTTPS.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only external service involved is our server hosting provider (Render), which processes data solely to host the application.
6. Push Notifications
Atlas uses Apple's Push Notification Service (APNs) to deliver reminders and alerts. Push tokens are used exclusively to route notifications to your device.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@peckapps.com. We will process deletion requests within 7 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Atlas is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact us at support@peckapps.com.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
